Since joining terra alma, Boone has successfully closed 11 commercial real estate transactions, totaling $5.2 million, and played a pivotal consulting role on two new construction projects. Her unique ability to understand and address clients’ needs is instrumental in her success, showcasing her ability to blend finance and real estate to transform lives and landscapes.
“In less than three years with terra alma, Michaela Boone has proven to be a colleague we cannot live without. We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the well-deserved promotion of Michaela to a pivotal role in Operations and Finance,” said Edie Weintraub, Founder and Chief Community Builder of terra alma. “Michaela is a driving force in our company’s success, consistently showcasing unparalleled dedication, strategic thinking and a keen eye for detail.”
Before joining terra alma, Boone gained valuable experience at Wells Fargo, where she underwrote Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and managed commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) deals, as well as low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) partnerships. Her journey from analyst to Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo, marked by her position as the sole woman on a seven-person team, highlights her resilience and capability in a male-dominated field.
“I’m confident that Michaela will bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to our operations and finance teams,” said Weintraub. “Her wealth of experience, coupled with her dynamic approach to problem-solving, positions her as the perfect leader to drive efficiency and growth in our operations and financial strategies.”
In 2021, Boone left Corporate America to pursue her passion for commercial real estate at terra alma. Starting as an assistant to company Founder and Managing Director, Edie Weintraub, she quickly earned her real estate license and launched her career as a real estate agent. Her first solo client was Eat My Biscuits (EMB), a project that exemplified her dedication to understanding and serving the unique needs of diverse communities.
A resident of Atlanta, Boone holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her education, rich experiences abroad and volunteer work enable her to serve a diverse clientele, including Spanish-speaking clients, fostering inclusivity and understanding in every transaction.
